Welcome Back, College Students of Boston!

Boston_Skyline

The countdown to students moving back to Boston is on!

In preparation of their return very soon, we’ve compiled a list of fun things to do in the city during the week whether you’re a new or returning student.

One of the many amazing aspects of Boston is the plethora of colleges and universities in and around Boston, making Boston a true “college town”. For returning students, you might be looking for new things to do after class. For new students, you might be looking for anything  & everything to do in this great city. Well, we’re here to help with some after class, weekday activities to do in the city!

Head to the Boston Public Library

The BPL offers free library cards for anyone living in the city as well as an amazing courtyard to do homework in. It’s the perfect place to study outside of your school library! They also have exhibitions going on – if you get bored of doing homework (or just want a good reason to procrastinate).

Explore inside and outside the city

If you go to school directly in the city, try to head to the surrounding cities and explore—Somerville, Cambridge, Brookline, Allston. Or go to a part of the city you haven’t explored before like the Seaport, the South End, South Boston (aka Southie), Castle Island. There’s so many options to chose from.

Dine at a restaurant with a patio

Sometimes sitting outside at a restaurant in the summer is just too hot and not a great experience. The fall is a perfect time to unwind outside after a long day of classes.

Enjoy the outdoors

If you’re looking to save on eating outside of the dining hall, still enjoy that outdoors at one of Boston’s MANY outdoor parks: the Boston Common, the Boston Garden, the Greenway, the Charles River, the Boston Harbor, Christopher Columbus Park, the list goes on & on. Enjoy the weather before Boston’s winter hits!

Visit Fenway/Kenmore

As the Red Sox finish up their season in the fall, be sure to visit the Fenway/Kenmore area. Even if you don’t have tickets, you can still hang around the area and watch the game at someplace just as awesome… like Jillian’s Boston Lucky Strike!
